Jet cards and charter memberships offer a convenient way to access private aircraft by prepaying for flight hours. Clients secure a membership by depositing funds with a charter operator and then drawing down on those funds (or hours) as they fly.

How do Jet Cards Work?

Jet cards and charter memberships share a similar structure:

1. Initial deposits typically begin at $100,000 and provide set hourly rates or flight hours over a specific time frame.
2. Larger deposits provide more favourable terms, including lower hourly rates or increased flight hours.
3. As you charter, you gradually utilize your initial deposit or flight hours.
4. When the deposit is fully utilized or the term is concluded, your membership can be renewed or upgraded.

Membership Overview

Occupied and Round-trip Rates

As an Avro member, you have access to both round trip rates and occupied rates, optimizing your charter budget.

Round Trip Rates:

• Charged at the round trip hourly rate for every hour of flight time, including positioning or returning to base.
• Ideal when traveling to and from a destination within a short time frame (1-4 days).

Occupied Rates (or one-way rates):

• Charged at an occupied hourly rate for every hour you are present on the aircraft.
• You do not pay for aircraft positioning or for the aircraft to return to base.
• Ideal when you are travelling in one direction (being picked up or dropped off).

Most private aviation programs only offer occupied hourly rates regardless of whether you are taking a round trip, resulting in higher costs. Sunwest provides both options depending on your trip type.
