We currently have an opportunity available for an Ramp Attendant- Casual Contract AM & PM shifts. Reporting to the Ground Operations Manager, this position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a temporary position (casual in nature) that will require 3 people to work Tues, Wed, and Thurs 6 hours per day.

2 shifts are early morning  (4am to 10am) and 1 shift is evening (5pm to 11pm)

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WITH GROUND OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE AND IF THEY HAVE A RAIC.

Provide a superior customer experience while maintaining a safe and efficient ramp at all times.

• Maintain a safe and efficient ramp at all times (VERY IMPORTANT)
• Deliver superior customer service to all Sunwest customers
• Stack, coordinate, maintain baghall, assist check-in process in coordination with CSA Team & Ramp Lead
• Loading and unloading of all aircraft, as instructed by Ramp Lead
• Assist and execute all aircraft movements with Maintenance and Flights Operations
• Ensure ground support equipment is fuelled, including the slip tanks
• Report all ground support equipment maintenance concerns to the Ground Vehicle Maintenance Technician
• Ensure operational information is relayed to next team at the end of each shift and paper work is completed
• Perform hangar and ramp inspections, FOD and Fire Lane walks
• Other related duties including but not limited to; aircraft lavatory and potable water servicing, washing customers vehicles, removing garbage, cleaning hangar floors, windows, and equipment, as well as, grounds keeping such as lawn mowing and trimming and ensuring all walkways, parking lot and ramp are clear of ice and snow.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

• Completion of High School diploma
• Previous experience in aviation fuelling and towing is considered an asset
• Class 2 Driver’s License with air endorsement is considered an asset
• Substance abuse screening is required as per our Safety Management System
• Valid Driver’s Abstract is required
• Positive “can-do” attitude
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Superior communication and customer service skills
