We currently have an opportunity available for a Casual work - Ramp Attendant. Reporting to the Ground Operations Manager, this position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead by example, providing a team building, positive “Can Do” attitude
• Maintain a safe and efficient ramp at all times (VERY IMPORTANT)
• Deliver superior customer service to all Sunwest customers
• Proper operation of ramp and hangars ( marshalling of aircraft)
• Able to complete fueling training requirements
• Make sure buildings, trucks, all other ramp equipment and vehicles are clean and well maintained
• Inspection of ramp and hangars to ensure they are free from obstructions or potential hazardous objects
• Coordinate and execute all aircraft movements with Maintenance and Flights Operations
• Report all ground support equipment maintenance concerns to the Ground Vehicle Maintenance Technician
• Make sure readiness and replenishment of de-ice equipment is complete during winter operations
• Deice all Sunwest and authorized customer aircraft
• Ensure operational information is relayed to the next team at the end of each shift and paper work is completed and handed in to the Facility and Ramp Manager
• Perform hangar and ramp inspections, FOD and Fire Lane walks
• Other related duties including, but not limited to, washing customer vehicles, changing garbage, cleaning hangars, lawn mowing, trimming, cleaning windows, etc

 

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

• Completion of High School diploma
• Previous experience in aviation fueling and towing is considered an asset
• Class 3 (for fueling purposes)  or higher Driver’s License with an air brake endorsement license is a requirement or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Substance abuse screening is required, as per our Safety Management System
• Valid Driver’s Abstract is required
• Must be flexible with shift hours
• Positive “can-do” attitude
• Willingness to handle multiple tasks
• Good communication and excellent customer service skills
