We currently have an opportunity available for a Quality Assurance -Maintenance Engineer. Reporting to the QA Manager, this position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor maintenance functions to ensure that they meet the requirement of the company’s MCM, MPM, and GPM. Reviewing aircraft defects/rectifications and identify recurring defects.The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Review work order and log book entries
  • Track recurring aircraft defects
  • Review Weight & Balance reports and up-date amendments
  • Ensure that aircraft equipment lists are up-dated
  • Audit Airworthiness Directives compliance
  • Hanger floor compliance monitoring.
  • Submit Service Difficulty reports to Transport Canada
  • Submit Major Modification reports to Transport Canada
  • Participate as an audit team member for internal and external audits
  • Conduct Audit finding Investigations and participate in CAPS and Validations.
  • Compose Maintenance Alert Memos and Aircraft Defect Discovery reports
  • Report any safety concerns
  • SMS work including Investigations, CAPS and Validations
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license
  • Prior internal auditing experience is an asset

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance
  • Computer skills at an intermediate level.  Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Working knowledge of CARs (Civil Aviation Regulations)
  • Adaptability
  • Multi-tasking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Solid organizational skills
