Operations Centre Coordinator

Sunwest Aviation Ltd. is the leading Western Canadian operator of jet and turboprop charter aircraft. Our jet fleet consists of 17 aircraft: 1 Falcon 900EX, 1 Challenger 604, 2 Hawker 800A, 2 Gulfstream 150, 2 Lear 55, 4 Lear 45, 2 Lear 35; 1 Citation V Ultra (C560) and 2 Citation Sovereign (C680). We also have a fleet of 23 turboprop/piston aircraft including: 5 Beech 1900D, 4 Metro 23, 2 Metro II, 4 King Air B200, 1 King Air B350, 2 Cessna C208, 1 Cessna C208B, and 4 Piper Chieftain. We currently have an opportunity available for Operations Centre Coordinator. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibili-ties which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

To provide superior Customer service and Internal service while communicating efficiently and effectively with clients, vendors, internal staff regarding quote requests, bookings and flight following.   

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competen-cies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

High school diploma, a degree or diploma in business administration, travel and tourism, are considered an asset

Flight Operations System (FOS) knowledge or previous flight coordinating experience considered a strong asset

Aviation background with minimum 1-year aviation experience

In-depth knowledge of the aviation industry considered an asset

Previous Flight Coordinator experience is an asset

Competencies:

Adhere to the Company Operations Manual and Operations Centre checklists and procedures.

Adhere to the safety accountabilities as per Sunwest’s Safety Management System manual.

Position Shift: Shift work rotations days and nights, weekends and holidays
