We currently have an opportunity available for a IT Help Desk Support. Reporting to the System Administrator, this position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the System Administrator, this position is responsible for providing IT desktop, application and mobile device support to all employees.

IT Support:

  • Help Desk
    Trouble shoot user/workstation issues including software, hardware, peripheral, and networking issues
  • Setup and install computer systems, software and printers for users
  • Maintain user information including internet, email, and user login accounts
  • Rebuild workstations for redeployment or as required
  • Software maintenance including updates, rollouts, and upgrades.
  • Administration & maintenance of mobile devices primarily iPads and iPhones
  • Cover after hours calls as part of the on-call scheduled rotation

 

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • High school diploma
  • On-site field support experience an asset
  • Accredited computer program, diploma, or degree an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong knowledge of iOS and Android devices
  • Ability to troubleshoot networking and TCP/IP issues, setup email, internet, VPN and email accounts
  • Install and support various network and local printing environment
  • Terminal Server/remote desktop (RDP) experience an asset
  • SharePoint experience an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are extremely important
  • Efficient trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient typing and data entry skills
  • Self learner committed to continuous improvement
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Above average demonstrated customer service skills
