Sunwest provides group life insurance coverage equal to two times your annual salary up to a maximum of $500,000 on a shared cost basis (50/50 Company/Employee) initially until the employee's 3rd year anniversary and then the company assumes all associated benefit costs.
Sunwest provides limited dependent life insurance for an employee's spouse and child(ren) on a shared cost basis (50/50 Company/Employee) initially until the employee's 3rd year anniversary and then the company assumes all associated benefit costs.
Sunwest provides AD&D coverage matching the Basic Life Insurance on a shared cost basis (50/50 Company/Employee) initially until the employee's 3rd year anniversary and then the company assumes all associated benefit costs.
Sunwest offers additional income protection for short or extended periods of illness or injury (not work related). Costs associated with these benefits are the responsibility of the employee.
We offer a program for individual counseling on a broad range of personal and family issues, as well as lifestyle aides including items such as financial clarity, legal clarity, workplace challenges, understanding nutrition to name a few.
In addition to our basic life insurance, we provide our employees with the option of purchasing additional life insurance with coverage ranging from $10,000 to $200,000 (in units of $10,000). This is available for an employee and/or his/her spouse. Costs associated with this benefit is the responsibility of the employee.
In addition to our basic AD&D, we provide our employees with the option of purchasing additional AD&D insurance with coverage ranging from $10,000 to $250,000 (in units of $10,000). This is available for an employee only or family coverage. Costs associated with this benefit is the responsibility of the employee.
Sunwest supports the need for balance in employees' lives and believes that each employee needs the enjoyment and relaxation associated with an annual vacation. Our vacation schedule based on an employee's years of service is:

| 3 Full Years of completed service | 6% (Equal to 120 hours or 3 weeks) |
| 5 Full Years of completed service | 8% (Equal to 160 hours or 4 weeks) |
| 10 Full Years of completed service | 10% (Equal to 200 hours or 5 weeks) |
Sunwest observes all statutory holidays each year in addition to Family Day (AB) and Heritage Day (AB/BC).
Sunwest is pleased to offer a voluntary Group RRSP plan commencing after the successful completion of an employee's three month probationary period. This is based on an employee's semi-monthly contributions. In addition to the Group RRSP, we provide a company matching DPSP plan (Deferred Profit Sharing Plan) providing between 3%-6% of an employee's salary, after his/her completion of twelve months service based on Company profitability.
