We currently have an opportunity available for a Customer Service Agent. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answering Phones on a multi-line phone system and directing calls as required
  • Using two way radio
  • Passenger Check-in duties for all Sunwest flights which includes:
    • Requesting appropriate ID – Government Issued/Company Issued/Passports as required for all passengers checking in
  • Preparing manifests and boarding cards for all departing flights
  • Weighing and tagging bags
  • Processing baggage and cargo for flights (heavy lifting involved)
  • Ensuring secure flights are directed accordingly
  • Ensuring client and shipping requirements for flights are followed
  • Sending/Receiving mail, packages, access cargo for flights and preparing documentation accordingly
  • Mail – incoming/outgoing
  • Updating/completing various documents (i.e. phone lists, vehicle spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Daily preparation/stocking of commissary items in all lounges including baking items
  • Ensuring cleanliness of all check-in areas, including lounges, washrooms and commissary items/stations and all related equipment
  • Completing training & exams as required
  • Must adhere to all current regulations as required for Aviation & Safety
  • Other related duties as assigned

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • Customer Service and Reception experience on a multi-line switchboard would be an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Appearance must be neat and professional in dress, grooming and mannerism
  • Meridian switchboard experience is an asset; Must be comfortable using the paging system
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Self-motivated and ability to take initiative; Attention to detail as well as confidentiality is very important
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
  • Friendly and efficient telephone etiquette;
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities are required; Good organizational and time management skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to report for shift in a timely fashion

Type of Employment: Part-time

Location: Calgary

Position Shift: Mon - Thu 2 pm to 7 pm, Friday 12 pm to 5 pm, Every 3rd Sat 630 am to 930 am
